Terms of Service
Last updated: July 10, 2026 · Beta terms
Plain-language summary (not a substitute for the terms below): Convicta is an information product in beta. We match breaking news to prediction markets and add context. We are not a broker, we do not touch your funds or wallet, nothing here is financial advice, and prediction-market trading can lose you money. Beta features can change or break. Be an adult about risk.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Convicta website, waitlist, applications, feeds, notifications and related services (together, the "Service"), operated by the Convicta team ("we", "us"). By accessing the Service, joining the waitlist, or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service — beta status
Convicta is a news-to-market intelligence service for prediction markets. It ingests public news sources, matches stories to prediction markets (currently Polymarket) by explicit rule, and delivers signals, summaries and on-chain context. It comprises two products — Convicta News (general beta) and Polymarket Pulse (public alpha).
- The Service is provided as a beta. Features may be added, changed, degraded, or removed at any time without notice.
- Any coverage figures shown on our site describe the breadth of our matching graph as of a stated date; they are not an accuracy score and not a guarantee of performance. We do not publish an accuracy percentage until it has been measured on a labeled benchmark.
- Automated trade execution ("trading agent") is in development and is not part of the Service today. If and when it ships, it will be governed by separate, explicit terms and opt-in consent.
3. Not financial advice
The Service provides information and analytics only. Nothing in the Service constitutes investment advice, financial advice, trading advice, a recommendation, or a solicitation to buy or sell any position on any market. Signals can be wrong, late, or incomplete. Prediction-market trading involves substantial risk of loss. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions and for compliance with the laws that apply to you, including whether accessing prediction markets is lawful in your jurisdiction.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) to use the Service. You may not use the Service if doing so is prohibited by applicable law or by sanctions administered by any authority with jurisdiction over you or us.
5. Waitlist, accounts and communications
- Joining the waitlist requires a valid email address. We store it to manage beta access and to contact you about the Service. We do not sell your email.
- You can request removal from the waitlist and deletion of your email at any time by contacting us (see Section 14).
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the contact information you provide.
6. Subscriptions and billing
During the beta, parts of the Service may be free. Paid tiers, prices, trials and billing terms shown on our pricing page are indicative for the beta period and may change before or at general availability. If paid subscriptions launch, billing terms (renewal, cancellation, refunds) will be presented at checkout and will form part of these Terms.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- resell, redistribute, scrape, or systematically archive the Service's feeds, signals or summaries without our written permission;
- reverse engineer, probe, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
- use the Service to violate any law, market rules, or third-party rights;
- misrepresent the Service's output as your own product or as our endorsement of your activity.
8. Third-party services and content
The Service references and links to third parties, including news publishers and Polymarket. Headlines and logos remain the property of their respective owners and are used to identify the source of reporting. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for any third party, their content, their markets, or their resolution decisions. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that party's own terms.
9. Intellectual property
The Service — including our matching graph, software, design, branding and original content — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use during the beta. No other rights are granted.
10. Accuracy and availability disclaimer
News is messy and markets move fast. We do not warrant that any signal, match, summary, translation, price, or whale attribution is accurate, complete, or timely, nor that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, TRADING LOSSES, LOSS OF DATA OR LOSS OF OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) USD 50.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or of applicable law.
13. Suspension, termination and changes
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service (including waitlist membership) at any time for breach of these Terms or to protect the Service. We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms, data removal requests, or anything else: tolokconsulting@gmail.com.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
